To me, it is the most awaited matter for this year, as if, while attending in many meetings called by Ministry of Commerce, Bangladesh Tariff Commission, Ministry of Foreign Affairs regarding bilateral, multilateral and plurilateral trade agreements, I did advocate government parties to take initiative to seal the a first free trade agreement with Sri Lanka. The country already has two magnificent bilateral free trade agreements with India, and Pakistan, hopefully the country is going to finalize similar agreement with China very soon, if Bangladesh and Sri Lanka could finally go for it, for both countries, it would mean to integrate the market opportunities of 2,88,00 million (=288 crore) people with a view to attaining very inclusive and sustaining trade growth!
