Hypocrisy, Ungratefulness, Disobedience, Wife and Mercy: What do we learn from Qur'an, Sunnah and English Scholar

1. "There are three things in the world that deserve no mercy, hypocrisy, fraud, and tyranny."
~ Frederick William Robertson, was an English divine.

The definition of hypocrisy is well defined in the Islam accordingly,

2. It is narrated on the authority of Abdullah b. 'Amr that the Prophet observed:
"There are four characteristics, whoever has them all is a pure hypocrite, and whoever has one of its characteristics, he has one of the characteristics of hypocrisy, until he gives it up: When he speaks he lies, when he makes a covenant he betrays it, when he makes a promise he breaks it, and when he disputes he resorts to obscene speech." In the narration of Sufyan (one of the narrators) it is: "And if he has one of them, he has one of the characteristics of hypocrisy."

In-book reference: Book 1, Hadith 116, Sahih Muslim.

If you have got someone, who is liar, fraud, i.e., betrays every time, breaks must maintaining promises made to you by showing very lame logic and when that person feels that no pervert, wicked and cunning tool is going to work, and starts delivering obscene speech then she is must- a confirmed hypocrite.

3. It was narrated that 'Ali said:
"The Unlettered Prophet (pbuh) informed me (saying) that none but a believer would love me and none but a hypocrite would hate me."
Grade: Sahih (Darussalam)
Arabic reference: Book 1, Hadith 119, The Book of the Sunnah.

It is completely evident from the above sahih hadith when you are spreading, exercising and spreading the truth then some people will surely start hating you, they may do plot against you being a traitor.

4. The Qur'an explains how to behave with hypocrites and what is in their fate,

O Prophet, strive against the disbelievers and the hypocrites and be harsh upon them. And their refuge is Hell, and wretched is the destination.
Allah presents an example of those who disbelieved: the wife of Noah and the wife of Lot. They were under two of Our righteous servants but betrayed them, so those prophets did not avail them from Allah at all, and it was said, "Enter the Fire with those who enter."

Reference: Chapter No. 66, Verse No. 9- 10, Surah At-Tahrim

The holy verse teaches us, even though the prophets, Noah (pbuh) and Lot (pbuh) were righteous but they can never enter Jannah, as if they were betrayers.

It surely teaches all the married woman to obey her husband must till he is calling you for righteousness and she must has to take the lead of her husband but none, the following sahih hadith puts lights on it further,

5. Narrated Ibn 'Abbas:
The Prophet (ﷺ) said: "I was shown the Hell-fire and that the majority of its dwellers were women who were ungrateful." It was asked, "Do they disbelieve in Allah?" (or are they ungrateful to Allah?) He replied, "They are ungrateful to their husbands and are ungrateful for the favors and the good (charitable deeds) done to them. If you have always been good (benevolent) to one of them and then she sees something in you (not of her liking), she will say, 'I have never received any good from you."

In-book reference: Book 2, Hadith 22, Sahih al-Bukhari

The ungrateful wife will be always trying to put pressures on her husband to satisfy her hypocritical wants even, will change her strategy, and for her single made-up reason, she will offset a husband's all the efforts toward her, surely they are going to be the dwellers of Hell, even though they believed in Allah, indicating 'ungratefulness toward husband for a wife is one of the major sins'.

I wish, this discussion would help all of us. Jazak'Allah.
